We were listening to B.B. King in the studio while painting and this song came on. I remembered a journalist who was leaving Kyiv in 2023 who said the same thing. He was leaving because the counteroffensive was failing. Yes, he was a dickhead. Then there was a thing with me and a girl. So… triple sub-text title, boom!

A fallen Ukrainian soldier will be remembered by a nation for generations. But please remember him. Please remember them all. Never forget their sacrifice. I know you will remember - but please do it. Please.

The text in English reads: (TOP) “Don’t forget me” and (BOTTOM) “At least remember me”

A friend said this to me as he was getting ready to be mobilised to the front lines. “I just keep thinking…is she going to remember me?” His fear of death was strong, but this was his greatest concern. I am constantly aware of these simple, fragile thoughts in Ukraine. Love, remembrance…

In English the text reads: “Will she remember me?”
